 2 - D Scanners
1. A USB cable connects
the 2 - D scanner to the
computer and enables the
scanner to read the code
from approximately 10-20 cm
from the ear tags,
the cable may be extended to 3- 7 m.
The visual ear tags may
become dirty in which event
they need to be cleaned with
a cloth with a cleaning
agent in order to make the
code picture visible for the
scanner to read it again.

"Blue tooth" scanners with a functional
distance of approximately
10 -
20 meters, but also
have to be approximately
10-20
cm from the ear tags
in order to read the lasered
code. The visual ear tags
may become dirty in which
