The GMPBasic livestock
management system lends itself
well to a "mobile office"
environment. A laptop, portable Hp
printer, 2-D scanner and 3
G card for internet connectivity
are the bare essentials for this
"mobility"
Willem, busy "tipping" the
sharp points of some of the
cows. To cut the whole horn off
would be too traumatic, also not
necessary at this stage. The
tipping procedure reduces the
sharpness of the horns and
reduces injuries amongst cows
fighting for dominance.
All these animals were
tagged with ID tags & placed on
the GMPBasic system. From here
onwards it is theowners
responsibility to enter all
records regularly in
GMPBasic
