Auction

Dear Auctioneer, we have included your valuable contributions into the system too.

As the animals are being auctioned, the animal can be identified by its UNIQUE ear tag, this is allocated to the registered buyers code on your system. Hence the animals are also ready to be checked by your staff as and when the new owners load these animals. This fits into the  Central Data Base System (CDBS) which is protected by a local and internationally registered Patent.

This purchase transaction will then be authorised by the seller (previous owner) which will change the (CDBS) status of the animals to the new owner. This information may also be relayed to the State Veterinarian's office in the near future. This may assist to facilitate with automated movement permits and electronic movement permits too. It in addition may also assist with safe - guarding all in the industry in the future especially with respect to Bio-security issues.

Farmers or other prospective buyers can now insist on knowing the live-mass of the animals before the auction occurs. Animals can now be weighed "in" so that potential buyers know what the real mass of an animal is that they will be bidding on. This information can now be updated to a GMP software package.

A typical auction day

Going...going.....Gone !!!
Bid closed with a new record on GMPBasic traceability calf to bidder no 51 !

The health status of cattle at auction pens may now also become more available to those in the need.

Veterinary health checks and Laboratory test results are now a REALITY for the first time in the South African livestock sector.

This ID Tag may also improve stock theft control at auction yards as each animal has its absolutely unique ID Tag identification..

Automated gates may be placed in position to ensure that no animals are loaded without being correctly released by the auctioneer's business. This process may afford the auctioneer with greater control mechanisms and feed back to the State Vet Offices for animal movement and Bio-security functions.

For the first time in the history, it adds value to farmers and auctioneers in that animals that are properly managed in terms of a herd health concept may be identified for the prospective bidders. These calves generally may entice an additional sales premium for the selling farmer.
