MEAT RETAIL
-------------------
The finishing process:
The "finished" steers are delivered to an abattoir. Here they
may be scanned or entered manually into the abattoir register.
The
carcasses can now also be identified with a
number that links up with the animal's ear tag.
This animal ID is absolutely UNIQUE (Patent
protected) and therefore can not be confused
with another animal.
Farmers are now in a favourable position to ask for these
unique animal identification numbers to appear on
their Abattoir Reports. The system now also allows
abattoirs owners the opportunity to reflect the
animals identity 100% correctly.
All animals that have been identified CA
(contagious abortion) and
TB (Tuberculosis)
positive may now be identified through the system
and "culled" out of the livestock
sector.
These animals are not allowed to be
re-sold at
auctions, feedlots or from one farmer to another.
These animals are by LAW to be culled through a
recognised, registered abattoir.

AFRIKAANS
-------------------
Consumer confidence
For the first time in the
history of South Africa, a
central data base exists which
can now assist in providing
healthy, approved animals for
human consumption.
This central data base has the
ability to improve consumer
confidence in South African
produced red meat, EVEN more.

The system also has the ability
to differentiate South African
red meat that is "quality
approved" vs IMPORTED red
meat with no traceability from "FARM
to PLATE" especially
regarding notifiable diseases.
The animal health and recorded
treatments logged on the
GMPBasic ™ software is in a
position as to provide abattoirs
with necessary information. This
information may assist in
complying with the individual
animal health status for
regulation requirements.

Quality beef / lamb / goat, has a longer shelf
life than poorly prepared and
"cooled" meat. This high value
good quality protein sustenance
is a necessary supplement in a
healthy and balanced diet.
