A variety of pilot projects, information download, have been implemented with relevant interest groups eg. Government ( State Veterinary departments ), Private Veterinary diagnostic laboratories, Livestock farmers, Agriculture Research Council (DNA section), livestock anti-theft department South African Police, certain commercial banking institutions, producer organizations, co-operatives, red meat abattoir association, livestock auctioneers, MOST important of all to livestock owners in South Africa who are currently already implementing the system.
This much needed livestock identification system is continuously being upgraded and improved upon.
The website will offer some interesting features for the users of the ID tags in 2008. More detail will be provided in 2008
