Sheep Ear Tags Applied
Typically place the tags in
the left ear or on the side where most
of the work is done from in the race / crush. The
Allflex tagger is seen here. It has an incredibly
smooth application action.

Weighing
Expert handlers assist with ram lambs that are classed and lambs excessive in weight are removed from the selection group.

Farmer's ram lots
Typically as depicted in this photo rams arrive as
per farmer and are processed, tagged
and scanned into the software, drenched for internal
parasites, vaccinated, weighed and sorted into different
groups.

Kenhardt Dorperland veld
ram project
Some of the Dorper rams, marked with the
MSD Animal Health ID Tags.
The tags for this project were kindly sponsored by
MSD Animal Health, South Africa.
These were marked in the right
ear to replace old
"tatty" re-usable
tags that were removed where
farmers had tagged the
animals. No uneccessary new
holes were made, whereby
stress was limited to an
absolute minimum.
